One Room Challenge – Teen Boy Bedroom Revamp – Week 2

How is it possible that we are now in our second week of the One Room Challenge? Where does the time go? Well seeing as time is moving along so quickly, let me get to it then……..I’ve been elbow deep in painting  and I still have yet to get to the real paint – the four walls yikes!!!

So far I’ve completed the painting of this great mid-century modern dresser that I found for his room last year. The before was a hot mess, but I could see its potential and the hardware was beyond! We used Behr Winter Way, which is a rich navy blue. I also decided to do a little something different and covered each side with this distressed faux leather. It’s very manly don’t you think?! 😂

We also painted a campaign desk in the same navy color. The desk has been sitting in our garage collecting dust for about 6 1/2 years and I actually forgot we had it…….I know, that’s an abomination!

The teen and I have come to an agreement  on this duvet for his new bed. The navy and white geometric design really lends itself to the minimalist design that he’s going for in the space.

I have some exciting sponsors that I will share with you next week for wall coverings. The design we’ve chosen, will really complement the room and add some texture to the otherwise, flat walls.

Of course, true to form, I do not have a real “design plan” in mind, but as always, we’ll pull things that we both love into the room, and it will all come together in the next few weeks…… let us pray!!

Make sure you swing back around next week, I’m sure I’ll have some updates that will be a bit more exciting for you!

A big thank you to Linda from Calling It Home for putting this wonderful group together. I must also thank our awesome media partner House Beautiful.  Please be sure to check out all the other guest participants and their second week of room updates as well. I’ve had a chance to see quite a few and some good stuff is happening!

Hi!! My name is Tiffany and I come to you by way of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY. My family and I made the move from the big city to the Garden State of New Jersey about 7 years ago; while I miss NYC I do love New Jersey. Follow along as I transform my family home into my perfectly imperfect, curated and eclectic nest!
