How exactly is it that we are at week 3 of the One Room Challenge? Where does the time go?? If you’re new here, thanks so much for stopping by. Before we start talking design, lets give a nice big thank you to Linda from Calling it Home for orchestrating the décor champion of challenges! We must also thank our Media Partner, Better Homes and Gardens for being a part of this amazing challenge.
Last week I promised I’d have some visuals of what’s going on in my mind for my laundry room refresh, so I’ll stop writing and start showing you what I got!
Are you beginning to understand what I mean when I say, my design style is 100% a mish-mosh of all the styles that I like/love and it somehow just works……
Well to be clear, it works for me, probably not for most visually organized people 🧐
Once I saw this beautiful art deco wallpaper from Spoonflower, I knew that it was time for me finally go ahead with this room refresh. I mean if you can have a walls that beautiful you should go for it! The light fixture is from Craftemade is UHHHHmazing!!!!! It’s just wild and free, but still elegant…….I LOVE it!
As I’m challenging myself to work within a certain budget for this refresh, the paint is a color that I’ve previously used in my daughters bedroom; Valspar Starlight Evening. It’s an extremely light, almost, white, gray-lavender color. It’s a perfect blend of all the wallpaper colors as it picks up the gray, pinks and cream in the design.
I’m really wanting to use this peel and stick Carrera marble tile on the floor, but I feel bad covering over real tile; even though I do not like the actual tile…………. I’m 90% sure I’m going to go for it as it can be removed if need be.
Okay, I’m a bit winded just writing about the plan and since I really haven’t started any of the big projects, I’m going to sign off now and get to work! Three weeks down and three to go! ( because please understand that I’ll be working up until the last possible minute on this space lol!)
Be sure to hop over to the ORC blog so you can check out all of the fabulous featured designers and what they’ve accomplished in their spaces and of course all the amazing progress the many guest designers ( such as myself), have made this past week or so.
Until next week! Hugs and love!
