Well here we are! We have arrived at the final week of this Falls ONE ROOM CHALLENGE!!! Granted some if us [a/k/a ME], have arrived a bit later than most, I am here y’all!!!

Before I go any further, I have to remind you all to stop over and feel free to fall into the design rabbit hole of a blog, for the Official ORC! The inspiration is endless and Im not exaggerating at all; while you’re there, be sure to check out all the featured designers and guest participants. There is some amazing action happening and you don’t want to miss out! The final room are all out of this week beautiful and I hope you get to see what I’m so excited about 😎😎.

Of course we have to send out a big thanks to our media partner Better Homes & Gardens as well!

Some of the products used to make this room super cute have been sponsored, however my opinion is 100% my own.

*********Now to the fun stuff*********

If you’ve followed me on IG stories, you may know that I went back and forth more times than American Airlines goes back and forth to Florida on a daily basis 🤦🏾‍♀️; y’all I could not get myself together and it was literally at the last hour when things started happening for my non-design, design plan. I use the word “plan” really loosely because going in I knew I wanted to makeover a bedroom so that it was serve as my guest-room and I knew I wanted 3 twin beds in the room. That WAS IT! That was the full extent of the “plan”!

Here is what the room somewhat looked like before: ( full disclosure I actually forgot to take decent before pictures but you get the idea) This is the bedroom belonging to my oldest son but he’s back in NYC with, what seems like no plans to return to NJ permanently so…… there’s that.

It had become a catchall for me and I wanted to make it a proper room for my overnight guest.

And After:

I ended up only using 2 twin beds in the room but I’m still toying with the idea for the third bed.

I used two instead of one larger bed because there are times when it’s not one person or a couple that stay with us and each person having their own bed to toss and turn in is a nicer set up IMO. AND…… since two twins make a king, when it is a couple, we’ll put them together! Win win if you ask me.

Some of you are aware that my favorite color is and always has been, yellow. However I rarely use it to decorate in my home ….. there are pops of yellows and mustard but never would I think to paint a room in that color. Or so I thought! My original plan was to paint all the walls in this glorious color but I’m happy I went with my gut on this and only used it as a feature wall.

I’m also happy that I waited for my exquisite bedding from Spoonflower to arrive before slapping all that yellow paint on the wall! This color is Behr Back To School and its a PERFECT match for the bedding. It’s funny how it pulls from the mustard in both the duvet and sheets although those two colors aren’t an exact match! It’s called blennnnn-dinnnng!!!

Okay, I won’t bore you with any more words……. just gonna send you into picture overload 😎

As always, thanks for stopping by and thanks for your patience with me as I tried to get myself situated 😂

Hugs and love!
